Prior to his arrest on Monday, comedian Katt Williams set his sights on Kevin Hart over the weekend, claiming that the Philly native is a “puppet” at a stop on his ongoing Conspiracy Theory tour.
“Even if that n----‘s a puppet, it’s not his fault,” Williams told a crowd in Atlanta on Saturday. “Don’t be mad at Kermit the Frog — be mad at Jim Henson. Don’t say, ‘F--- Donald Duck,’ when you really mean. ‘F--- Walt Disney.’”
Williams, 44, said he wants no part in the apparent “puppet show” that gave Hart success, and went on to wish his fellow comedian “the best.”
Williams was arrested Monday on a misdemeanor battery charge following an alleged physical altercation with a clerk at a pool supply store in Georgia. He is currently scheduled to bring his Conspiracy Theory tour to Philadelphia on Saturday, March 5.
Last week, the state of California officially announced February 22 as "Kevin Hart Day."
